Amanda Lynn McKinney

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Amanda Lynn McKinney who left us on January 20, 2025 at the young age of 41. Amanda was born in Charleston, WV on August 8, 1983. Amanda was known for her beautiful voice and her talent and passion in singing. She graduated from Sherman High School, in Class of 2001, during her years at Sherman, she also studied nursing at BCTC. Amanda is survived by her mother, Donetta McKinney-Cooper and her kids, Kolby M. Moffitt, Makaya C. Moffitt, and Alec C. Basiden, and her brother, Mitchel McKinney, She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Arthur McKinney and Alice Ann McKinney. A Memorial service will be held at future date in the Keith Full Gospel Church, Keith, WV. Amanda will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her three children, her talents in singing and art. She will be missed deeply by those who got the pleasure of knowing her.
