Angela Dawn Viars

Angela Dawn Viars, 53, ascended from her earthly body on August 23rd, 2024. She gained her wings due to an unexpected complication after a short illness. Angela is the daughter of George Viars Jr. and Beverly Burnette Viars, born on August 6th, 1971. She is a 1989 graduate of Sherman High School. After high school, she attended college at the University of Charleston, where she received a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Instead of pursuing a nursing career, she decided on a much different career path. After being asked to help manage the V-Mart, she agreed, and has taken care of business every single day for the past 29 years. Her smile could brighten even the darkest days; her beauty is truly unmatched; and her impact on the community is nothing short of extraordinary. She is so loved and will be deeply missed by so many. Angela is survived by her daughter Kateland Wall (Chris Priestley); Grandsons; Troy Davis, Nash Clark, and Jett Priestley; Parents; George Viars Jr. (Brenda), and Beverly Burnette Viars; Siblings; Jack Viars (Jerri), and C.W. Viars (Melody); Step-Siblings; Jason Hudson (Cassie), and Jennifer Hudson; Nieces and Nephews; Maggi Viars, Lola Viars, Codie Viars, Jonathan Viars, Brandon Lovejoy, Chastyn Viars, Lance Hudson, Clay Hudson, Gracie Hudson, Carter Reese Hudson, Hunter Anderson, Ridge Anderson, and Erica Anderson. She is preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents; Mildred Dimple and George Viars Sr.; Maternal Grandparents; Jack and Dorothy “Dot” Burnette; and Uncle; J.G. Burnette.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Racine with Pastor Anthony Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in the Pineview Cemetery Orgas, WV. The visitation will be on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church.
