Arlene Clay of Naoma, 86, WV passed away on September 25, 2023 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV of an extended illness. She was born March 18, 1937 a daughter of the late Mont and Inez Sumner Allen. She was the last surviving member of her family. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Clay; three brothers, James and Max Allen and infant Allen; sister, Jean Williams’ daughter-in-law, Debra Clay; two great grandchildren, Abigail Booth and Joseph Booth II; she is survived by two daughters, Helen Price and husband, HD and Jackie Parris all of Naoma, WV and one son, John Clay of Rural Hall, NC; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Joey Booth, AJ Parris, Sam Parris, Ben Price, Brandi Parris and Danny Williams Jr.. Graveside services will be held Friday afternoon September 29, 2023 at two o’clock in the Allen Cemetery, Clay Branch, Naoma, WV with Rev’s Larry Kinder and Steve Smith.
