Barbara (Workman) Acord

Barbara Workman Acord passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025 surrounded by her family. Barbara was the daughter of the late Joe and Paula (Pete) Workman of Drew’s Creek, WV. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers Danny and Kevin Workman. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jack Acord and her twin daughters Crystal Brooks (Jeff) and Kimberly Oliver (Revel), brothers Rodney Workman, Randy Workman (Teresa), sister Lisa Wesely; sisters-in-law Lettie Watson and Nancy Milam, brother-in-law Ivan Acord (Cathy); and extended family and friends. Barbara was a retired postmaster and a member of Arnett Chapel. Graveside service will be at Miller Cemetery on May 15, 2025 with Pastor Larry Kinder officiating at 1:00 p.m. with singers, Benny and Debbie Turner and Rosemary Miller. Pallbearers will be Michael Watson, Michael Dickens, James Allen, Revel Oliver, Jeff Brooks, and Kelly Acord. Family requests that any donations be made to Bower Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
