Benjamin Franklin Perdue (Papaw, Frankie, or Ben as he preferred), 78, of Racine, WV, went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2022. He was born on January 25, 1944, to the late John W. Perdue and Virginia Ruth Hamrick. He is preceded in death by his brothers James,Claude, Opie, and Charles Perdue. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Rosemary CremeansPerdue, daughter and son-in-law Michele and Robert Walls, and son Jody. His grandchildren, whom he adored, Julius, Juliana, Cameron and Kayla Walls, Xavier, Malea, and Jaxtyn. Brother John W. Perdue. Sisters, Karen Sue Smith and Brenda Thomas. Beloved brother-in-laws Harold, Vernon, and Carl Cremeans. Many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins,along with many dear friends. Frankie had a great sense of humor and was the family goofball. He enjoyed cooking/baking, hunting, fishing, camping, watching wrestling, and especially loved his garden and lawn mowers. Frankie planted a huge garden every year and loved to plant more than enough to give away to others. Before he retired, Frankie worked as an engineer with Pratt & Whitney building jet engines. He greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.Frankie will be missed tremendously. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Roger Halstead officiating.
