Brian Keith Strickland, Sr., 52 of Coopertown, WV, passed away in the early morning of January 9, 2024. He was born March 28, 1971 in Charleston, WV to the late George William Strickland, Jr and Maggie Blanton Strickland Taylor. In addition to his dad, Brian was proceeded in death by his grandparents, George and Nellie Strickland, his brother Randall Hank Strickland and uncle Charles Strickland. Brian is survived by his mother, his son Brian Keith Strickland, Jr., and his brother Christopher of Mason County, WV,; nephews and nieces Jason (Brandy) Strickland of Teays Valley, Brandon Strickland of Coopertown, Christopher Allen Strickland, Jr, Katie Strickland, Cydney Strickland, and Chloe Carroll; great niece and nephews Luke Strickland, Caleb Strickland, and Peyton Strickland; sister-in-law Crystal Strickland; an aunt Erayna Strickland; many cousins including Robin and Mark Strickland, Dana Evans and Mike (Karen) Mancari. Special friends, Alex, Dakota, Ritchie, Tyler and Braden, who were always around to help with anything that was needed. Brian was a 1990 graduate of Sherman High School. He enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, riding around and going to the store with his sister-in-law and playing with his little dog, Jake. Funeral services will be Friday, January 12, 2024 with family visitation from 11:00-12:00 and visitation for the public from 12:00-1:00 at Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV. Service will follow with Rev. Ronnie Santonio officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV.
