Carlos James Ferrell died March 20, 2024 at Hospice Care CAMC Memorial Hospital Charleston, West Virginia following a long illness. He was 76 years old and resided at Orgas, West Virginia Carlos attended Sherman High School before enlisting in the US Army. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict. Carlos was a proud member of the Whitesville Volunteer Fire Department with many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Norman Ferrell and Louise Maxine (Hager) Ferrell. Carlos is survived by three sisters: Betty Burdette of Moulton, Alabama, Wanda Bowen of Granite Falls, North Carolina, and Sherry (Steve) Cox of Comfort, West Virginia. His daughters: Diana (Webster) Williams, Leasonna Davis Ferrell and companion, Thomas Parsons, and Crystal (Howard) Smerecansky. His Grandchildren: Derek Williams, Jacqueline Ferrell, Kirsten (Patrick) Counts. His Great-Grandchildren: Colt Counts and Elsa Counts. His maternal uncle Kelly “Birddog” Hager. Carlos is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carlos chose to be cremated. In honoring his wishes there will not be a funeral service. Armstrong Funeral Home of Whitesville is serving the family.
