Carol Jean Williams Matheny, 86, of Seth, WV passed away, Tuesday April 11, 2023 at the CAMC Hospice Division, Charleston, WV. She was born September 27, 1936 at Prenter, WV the daughter of the late William Edgar and Vada Helen “Elrod” Williams. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Matheny, three brothers, William Edgar Williams Jr. Harold Edward Williams, and Dallas C. Williams and wife, Moriko “Nancy” Sato Williams of Kaneohe, Oahu, HI, and one sister, Anna Lee Williams. She is survived by a son, Carl Dewayne and wife, “ Shelly” Davis and their daughter, Kara Davis and husband, Zac Myers, brother-in-law; Gary Thomas and wife, Shelia, a step-son, Gary Matheny, and a nephew, Roger lee Williams and wife, Donna-Lei and their family. Carol attended Sherman High School at Seth, graduating with the class of 1954. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at two o’clock in the Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV with Pastors Robert Perdue and Roy Barnette.
