Cathy Sue Kinder

Cathy Sue Kinder, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, left this world on April 24, 2025, at the age of 60 in Seth, WV. Born on March 9, 1965, Cathy illuminated the lives of those around her with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit. Cathy was the daughter of Richard and Loretta Abbott and grew up surrounded by the love of her family in a close-knit community. She was preceded in death by her cherished sons, Richard and Corey Kinder, her parents Richard and Loretta Abbott, and her brother, Terry W. Abbott. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She is survived by her loving daughter, Ciera Green, and her adored grandson, Breece Pauley, both of whom Cathy cherished deeply. Breece was a source of immense joy and pride for her, and she devoted countless hours to showering him with love and guidance. Cathy’s siblings, Teresa Hudson and her spouse Gary Hudson of Blooming Rose, WV, Lucretia Lucas and her spouse Charlie Lucas of Whitesville, WV, and Richard Abbott of Seth, WV, also carry her spirit forward. Her memory will be fondly remembered by her nephews, Brandon Bowling and his spouse Angela of Whitesville, WV and Stephen Fauber of Winchester, KY. Throughout her life, Cathy took on many caregiving roles, showcasing her selflessness and profound sense of duty. She tirelessly cared for her mother, her brothers, and was always eager to help with her grandson, Breece. Her willingness to lend a hand without being asked was a testament to her character. She found fulfillment in nurturing those she loved, and her compassion for others was evident in every facet of her life. Cathy's legacy is woven into the fabric of her family and friends. She was the glue that held them together, the laughter shared over family meals, and the comfort in times of need. Her spirit will live on in the stories shared, the tears shed, and the memories cherished. A funeral service to celebrate Cathy's life will be held on May 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Pineview Cemetery in Orgas, WV. Family and friends are welcomed to join in honoring a beautiful soul whose love and kindness touched so many lives. Cathy Sue Kinder will be forever cherished and missed, a guiding light in the hearts of those she loved. Her legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to know her.
