Charles Robert Strickland, 81, of Keith, WV, went home to be with Jesus on November 21, 2023. He was a member of Amazing Grace Fellowship. Charlie, as known by most of his mining buddies, was a member of the UMWA and retired with 28 years. Chuck, as known by his family and friends, loved to hunt and fish, play horseshoes and ride 4 wheelers. After he retired, he enjoyed tinkering in his woodworking shop and made many treasures for people he loved. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents George William, Sr. and Nellie Kinder Strickland, brother George William, Jr., sisters Mae Bess, Marie Massey and Nettie Clemens, nephew, Hank Strickland and his best friend, Jim Peters. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Erayna, daughter, Robin of Louisa, KY and son, Mark at home. Brothers in law, Gary (Debbie) Woodrum, Greg (Lori) Woodrum and Kevin Woodrum and many nieces, nephews and friends. On Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, the visitation will be from 12:00PM – 2:00PM with the service following at 2:00PM at Amazing Grace Fellowship at 12730 Coal River Road, Seth, WV. Pastor Junior Perdue will be officiating. Interment will be at Pineview Cemetery. In leu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Little Victories Animal Rescue or a charity of your choice.
