Dartenella ‘Darty’ Allen

Dartenella “Darty” Allen, age 77, of Naoma passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice, Huntington. She was born on September 29th, 1944 at Naoma, a daughter of the late Ruby Alice Tackett and Ermol Tackett. She had been a member of Naoma Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 45 years, Earl T. Allen Sr. Survivors include her two sons: Earl Allen Jr. and his wife Sarah, of Dunbar, Jason Allen and his wife Amy, of Red House; three grandsons: Cole Allen, Chase Allen, and Christian Allen; great granddaughter: Everlee Allen; two sisters: Lisa Hensley of Lousia, KY, Teresa Tackett of Louisa, KY; three brothers: Ray Tackett of Dayton, OH, Johnny Tackett of TN, David Tackett of MI; and niece Jennifer Cline, of Floyd County, KY. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, with the Rev. Larry Kinder officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery, Naoma. The visitation will be 2 hours before the service at the funeral home.
