Deloris Jean Workman, 77, of Naoma, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at her home after a long illness. She was born on November 24, 1946 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Clyde and Opal Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Carl Eddie Workman. Deloris was a member of the Delbert Church. She retired from the Raleigh Board of Education with 34 years of service. She is survived by three daughters, Opal Farris and husband, Wally, Constance Harvey, Jennifer Workman Doss; two sons, Larry Workman and Jim Workman and wife, Lora; grandchildren, Carl Scott Harvey, Jonathan Cantley, Alex Workman, Morgan Workman, Zach Workman, Dawson Davis, Cameron Workman, Nathaniel Doss, and Stormy Farris; great grandchildren, Eleanor Cantley and Theo Cantley; other special family members Earnest Joe Harvey, Donna Dickens and Nancy McCoy. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon January 8, 2024, at two o’clock in the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV with Rev. Danny Gilfilen officiating and Singing by Benny and Debbie Turner. Visitation will begin two hours before the service. Interment will follow at the Cook Cemetery, Naoma, WV
