    Denise "Niecy" Hendricks Johnson

Denise was born in Cleveland, OH to Mary Alice (Dorsey) and Teddy Boyd Hendricks. She grew up in Coopertown, WV and graduated from Sherman High School in 1982. She followed a career of caregiving, becoming an LPN and choosing to care for the elderly. She loved her "old people". She also cared for her parents as they aged and eventually passed, both in her home and under her loving care. She was someone you could depend on and trust and she loved with her whole heart. Denise is preceded in death by her parents; special cousin, Marc Cooper; and her best friend, Matilda Brumfield (nee Green). Denise is survived by her husband, William Johnson; daughters, Jessica Strickland and Alyson Johnson (Justin Roberts); brothers, Eddie Hendricks (Lisa Lovejoy), and Dave Hendricks (Connie Hendricks); nieces, Taylor Hendricks and Breeanne Jarrell; Amber Chambers and Virginia Holstein who she loved like her own daughters and their children who she loved as her own grandchildren; dearest friends, Kay Coggins, Kimberly Bethea, Lora Atkins, and Chris Strickland, who were like sisters to her. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and others who she loved dearly.
