Dennis Wayne Doss, 52, of Glen Daniel, WV departed this life quickly after falling ill at work to make Heaven his eternal home on February 1, 2023. Dennis was the son of Dennis and Deanie Doss of Seth. He was a fan of Nascar, the Dallas Cowboys, Chevrolets, camping, boating and spending time with his family. He loved his Mountaineers, no matter how hard Jennifer tried to convert him to be a Herd fan. He was a proud employee of Clay Trucking, having been a coal truck driver for 23 years. Along with his parents, others left behind to mourn his loss include his wife, Jennifer; boys, Dawson, and Nathaniel; sister, Angie Williams and her family Brian, Makena, Canon, Preslee of Twin Poplars; mother-in-law, Deloris Workman of Drews Creek; and a host of extended family members who all loved him. Dennis is described as a humble and kind man, devoted husband and loving dad, brother, and son. He was a good friend to many and will be greatly missed. 2 Corinthians 5:8 states, “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” As we mourn the loss of Dennis, our family encourages you to build a relationship with Christ, so that you may one day enter Heaven and spend eternity with our Savior. With a sudden and unexpected loss, we also encourage you to cherish and enjoy time with your loved ones to the fullest extent, as we are not promised tomorrow here on earth. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Armstrong Funeral Home Whitesville with Pastor Jerry Brown officiating and the Stewart Family singing. Interment will follow in the Pineview Cemetery Orgas, WV. The visitation will be 2 hours before the service at the funeral home.
