Donnie Ray Kile, 82 of Whitesville, West Virginia, passed away after a short illness on the 17th of January, 2023. He was born on the 23rd of January, 1940, the son of the late Reverend J.M. and Zella Belle Kile. Donnie was a graduate of Sherman High School. He was an active member in his community, serving on the Whitesville Volunteer Fire Department for 17 years, and was a member of the Whitesville Lions Club. Donnie had various places of employment during his 82 years of life including: Adkins Exxon (Buster Adkins), American Hardware, Manager of Big Star, Consol Energy, Marfork Coal, Co-Owner of D&D Carpet Cleaning, and was the Owner of Kile’s Exxon for 8 years (1983-1991) in the town of Whitesville. When he was not at work, Donnie was an avid woodworker, and loved to spend time in his shop, creating different projects for his family and friends. Donnie was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Lula Belle Kile, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded by his two brothers, Thurman and Vivan Kile; and his beloved dog Gismo. He was survived by his children; Kimberley (Mike) Clay, Dwight (Lorie) Kile, and Julie (Randy) Wells. His grandchildren; Ashlei (Brandon) Belcher, Dylan (Caitlyn) Clay, Candace (Jamie) Barker, Caitlyn (Matthew) Pettry, Dwight David (MacKenzie) Kile, Kylie (Preston) Jones, Brandie Wells, and Andrew Wells. His great-grandchildren; Bella and Gianna Belcher; Darla, Demi, and Darci Jones; Nolyn, Elias, and Jamison Barker, and Oaklee Kile. His Brother and Sister in-law’s; David (Janice) Cabell, Roland (Sandra) Dillon, and Louise Dillon. His many nieces and nephews, his beloved cat Boots, and his companion for the last three years of his life, Carol Jones. Donnie was a friend to many and never met a stranger. He leaves behind so many people whose lives he touched along his journey. Funeral Services will be held Friday afternoon January 20th, 2023, at two o’clock in the Keith Full Gospel Church, Keith, WV with Pastor Ricky Peters, Pastor June Ferrell, and Pastor Brandon Richards officiating. Interment will follow in the Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV. The Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm at the church.
