Doris “Dot” Irene (Trickett) Webb of Drews Creek, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 1, 2022, in the CAMC General Division Hospital, Charleston, WV after a short illness. Doris was born April 17, 1928, in Morgantown, WV. A daughter of the late Earl C. Trickett and Nellie Eddy Trickett. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Webb; a son, Gary D. Webb and wife, Beth; a brother, Robert E. Trickett and wife Thelma; sisters, Thelma and husband, Hollis Jarrell, and Beatrice Trickett. Dot is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Larry) Webb of Arnett, WV, and Valerie (Tim) Bonds of Rock Creek, WV; four grandchildren: Faron B. Webb of Arnett, WV, Jeff (Amy) Webb of Daniels, WV, Rachel (Shane) Holt of Parkersburg, WV, and Andrew (Erica) Bonds of Beckley, WV; three great grandchildren: Jill, Kaden and Keira Webb. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Doris was a 1946 graduate of Morgantown High School, after which she worked at the phone company in Morgantown. She married Roy Webb on June 28, 1947 and lived in Drews Creek for 75 years. She was a 51-year member of Winolia Chapter #59 O.E.S. at Oak Hill. Dot retired from the Raleigh Co. School System and loved being with her grandchildren. She attended PineKnob Union Chapel and was loved and admired by the whole community. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, September 4, 2022, at three o’clock in the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV with Rev. Danny Gilfilen officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Ridge Cemetery, Prosperity, WV. The visitation will be one hour before the service. Online condolences at www. armstrongfuneralhomewv.net.
