Dorothy Elaine (Morris) Coffey

Dorothy Elaine Coffey (Morris), aged 77, was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025. She was born on June 4th, 1947 in Wytheville, VA to Hubert Morris and Betty Frances Morris (Jarrell). She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Brenda Kay Morris, brother Freddie Morris, husband Roger Coffey, and her beloved son Michael Roger Coffey. She is survived by her two grandsons, Caleb Lee Coffey and Jonah Michael Coffey. In addition, she is survived by her sister Mary Moore (Curtis), her brother Hubert Ray Morris (Paula), and her sister-in-law Ada Morris, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom the departed cared for immensely. She was a proud graduate of Sherman High School, and a lifetime member of Whitesville First Presbyterian Church. She was a valued member of the Whitesville Community and a long-time employee of Woodrum’s Convenience Store and Restaurant. She enjoyed visiting with friends and her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a loving soul who will be greatly missed by the innumerable lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Whitesville First Presbyterian Church. As per Dorothy’s request, there will be no public memorial service at this time.
