Emma "Peachie" Austin Obituary

Emma “Peachie” Pamela Austin October 12, 1950 – October 15, 2025 Emma “Peachie” Pamela Austin, 75, of Colcord, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born on October 12, 1950, in Logan, Peachie was a devoted wife, mother, granny, and friend whose life was a testament to love, faith, and service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Randolph and Emma Josephine Farley, and was one of eight siblings, two of whom survive her. Peachie leaves behind her beloved husband, Billy Paul Austin; her loving children, James Allen (Michelle) and Pamela Ferrell (George); her cherished grandchildren, George III, Tara (John), Jamie, Hunter Allen (Kyndal), Heather Allen (Nicholas), Jacob Ferrell (Jorji), and Holden Allen (Zoey); and her greatest earthly treasures—her 12 great-grandchildren. Peachie was known for her unwavering love for the Lord and her family. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she shared it freely with everyone she met. She believed deeply in the power of prayer and was always ready to lift others up in times of need. Her prayers were strong, heartfelt, and comforting—an extension of the kindness and compassion she showed to all. Her greatest joy came from being called “Granny,” a title she wore with pride and devotion. She nurtured, guided, and loved her family with a warmth that will be remembered forever. Peachie’s legacy is one of faith, love, and service. She touched countless lives with her gentle spirit and generous heart. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the eternal peace she now rests in. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00pm at Pentecostal Freedom Church, Colcord, WV with Pastor Jeff Shea. Visitation will be two hours before the service at the church. Burial will follow at the Estep Cemetery, Ameagle, WV. A special thank you to the nurses from Southern WV Hospice for your loving care and kindness. I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. -Matthew 28:20
