Ernest Dalton Anderson Sr., 92, of Charleston, WV went home to be with the Lord on August 27, 2022 at the Oak Ridge Care Center after a short illness. He was born on January 26, 1930 in Clifty, TN, the son of late Nathan Napoleon and Lavada Lavera. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Juanita Mae Sutphin Anderson. He was an active member of Comfort Presbyterian Church. He loved fishing and hunting and retired from Kroger Company after 40 years. Survivors include sons, Ernest Dalton Anderson Jr., and James Charles Anderson, both of Charleston, WV; a daughter, Brenda Bennett of Marmet; one brother, Gene Anderson (Nancy); grandchildren, Rachel Estep, Ryan Anderson (Kearsten), Whitney Anderson (Ashlee) and Nicholas Anderson (Brie) one great granddaughter, Alivia Ryan Anderson and two great grandsons, Dalton Bennett and Hunter Estep and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Ridge Center for their wonderful care and compassion of our father during his time there. Funeral service will be held Thursday September 1, 2022 at two o’clock in the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV with Pastor Roger Eskins. Visitation will begin one hour before the service. Burial will follow in the Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV.
