Ethel Jean (Cantley) McKnight

Ethel Jean McKnight, 87, of Rock Creek, WV went home on Monday, April 29, 2024 to be with our Lord and Savior and be one of God’s Angels. She was born June 23, 1936 at Rock Creek, WV a daughter of the late Dewey Lee and Gracie Pearl Miller Cantley where she remained a lifelong residence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Stokes, two granddaughters, Chrissy Jarrell and Gracie Shuster; two sisters, Icie Irwin and Mabel Clay and a infant brother, James. Ethel is survived by her husband of 69 years, Clyde D. McKnight Sr; children, Clyde Jr. and wife, Cheryl; a daughter, Karen Shuster, son, Lawrence and wife, Evelyn, son, Gary and wife, Dee; 26 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; Pallbearers: Clyde Jr., Gary, Clyde McKnight III, Brian Shuster, Ryan Adkins, Devin Daniel and several honorary grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 at two o’clock in the Rebecca Chapel, Rock Creek, WV with Pastor Earl Cooper officiating; Visitation will begin 2 hours before the service at the church. Interment will follow in the Miller Cemetery, Rock Creek, WV beside her parents.  The family would like to offer a special thanks to caregiver, Samantha Jarrell.
