Honey Clendenen Obituary

Honey Clendenen, 72, of Evans, WV passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024 at the Ravenswood Village Ravenswood, WV. She was born Sept. 23, 1952 in Kanawha County, WV to the late John Lewis and Jean Lucille Henderson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Erma Jean Walker of Gastonia, NC and a brother, James R. Henderson of Whitesville, WV. Honey grew up in Whitesville, WV.  She attended Sherman High School where she met the love of her life, her darling companion. They moved to Evans, WV later in life where she found a love for farm life. Honey spent her days watching deer graze in the fields, taking care of her horses and the donkeys! She loved spending time with her grandkids and family. She was a member of Racine Volunteer Fire Dept. Lady’s Auxiliary. Worked for Richard Brown Insurance Agency, WV DMV, Mcjunkin and retired to be the very best grandmother. Honey was a member of the New Life church of Whitesville and later a member of Mercy Baptist of Evans, WV. She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Clendenen; her son, James Clendenen (Trish) of Evans, WV; grandchildren, Jarrod Clendenen (Lauren) of Ripley, WV, Joshua Clendenen of Evans, WV, and Lindsie Clendenen of Evans, WV; great grandkids, Chase, Caleb and Evan; a brothers, Eddie Henderson (Sandy) of St. Albans, WV and Little John Henderson (Melissa) of Shelby, NC; a brother-in-law, Jimbo Clendenen of Evans, WV; a sister-in-law, Sharon Estep of Racine, WV; nieces and nephews: Rusty Clendenen Fairplane, WV, Kelly McCormick Cross Lanes, WV, Larry Estep Racine, WV, Terry Estep Millwood, WV, Johnny Walker Gastonia, NC, Kim Walker Whitesville, WV, Jason Walker Gastonia, NC, Jake Henderson Cherryville, NC, Sargent Grant Henderson Fort Walton, FL, Matt Henderson Charleston, WV, Brian Henderson Charleston, WV, Alson a host of great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the New Life Church Whitesville, WV with Pastor Gary Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Pineview Cemetery Orgas, WV. The visitation will be two hours before the service at the church.
