Irene Delores Perdue (Walker), 72, of Comfort, WV, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at CAMC Hospice Care in Charleston, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 8, 1952, in Charleston, WV, Irene was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered around love, family, and faith. She was adored by her sons, Brian Lee Buzzard of Comfort, WV, and Kevin Buzzard (Kara) of Bloomingrose, WV. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, Chace Buzzard (Bailey) and Keirstan Buzzard (Eric). Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Montley Buzzard and Naomi Buzzard, who brought her endless happiness. Irene was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Walter Norman Walker and Goldie Marcella Walker (Buzzard), as well as her siblings: Joyce White (Walker), Norman Walker, Randall Walker, and Rita Vanoy (Walker). She is survived by her loving siblings: Danny Walker (Julia) of Sylvester, WV; Carolyn Brown of Cape Canaveral, FL; Freddy Walker of Julian, WV; Tammy Alaia of Cape Canaveral, FL; and Brenda Boulet of Rock Creek, WV. Irene's memory will live on through each of them and through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, strength, and unwavering love. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Irene’s life during a visitation on Thursday, July 17, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Armstrong Funeral Home in Whitesville, WV. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18, at 11:00 AM, also at Armstrong Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery Orgas, WV. Irene's legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and deep love for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
