Jackie Lee Williams

Jackie Lee Williams, 85, of Artie, WV passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at his home. He was born Dec. 6, 1938, in Artie, WV to the late Wayburn Isadore and Linnie Faye Dunbar Williams. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by grandchildren, Cheney Peaytt and Roger Dale Williams, a great grandchild, Julian Koone, 8 siblings: Cleda Wriston, Doris Stanley, Maxine Jones, Buford Williams, Gaylena Cyrus, Nova Williams, Herman Williams and Kathleen Smith. Jackie was a husband, brother, dad, granddad, a coal miner for 25 years, gardener, carpenter, and farmer. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 65 years, Aline Stover Williams, his children: Wanda Williams Perry and husband, Tim, Jacqueline Williams Allen and husband, David, Karen Williams Taylor and husband, Kevin, Elaine Williams and husband, William, Charles Williams and wife, Melissa and Clinton Williams and companion, Marsha; 13 grandkids; 30 great grandkids; brothers, Boyd Williams, Teddy Williams and Eddie Williams, and a special nephew, Eugene Williams. Also, many dear friends, Dennie and Sally Williams, Lynn and Carol Maynor and Joe and Judith Barnett. Funeral services are going to be held on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Artie Church of God with Rev. Joe Barnett officiating with Lisa Cabell, William Williams, Anita Workman and Judith Barnett singing. Interment will follow in the Cherry Tree Hill Family Cemetery Artie, WV. The pallbearers will be sons, grandsons, sons-in-law, and friends.
