James Arvis Bailey

James Arvis Bailey of Naoma, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the Beckley Heathcare Center, Beckley, WV. He was born June 13, 1945 at Naoma, WV a son of the late Joe and Flossie Workman Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Bailey; two children, son, James Jr. Bailey and a daughter, Sandy Daniels; three brothers, Denver Bailey, Joe Arnold Bailey, and Arthur Bailey. Arvis worked for 27 years with Robert Jarrell Store at Naoma, WV. He is survived by a sister, Alva Jean Pettry and husband, Elbert; sister-in-law, Ruth and Ronnie Jenkins; special nieces, Rebecca Hoosier and Amber Tolliver; a special nephew, Ronnie Jenkins Jr, great nephews, Bryse and Chance Jenkins; niece and nephew, Beanita and Kenny Pettry, special friends, James Miller, Justin Quigley, Vickie Dickens, Dallas Conn and a special dogs, Bella and Bandit; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 14, 2024 at twelve o’clock in the Victory Worship Center Drews Creek, WV with Rev. Danny Gilfilen officiating. Interment will follow in the Vealey Cemetery Drews Creek, WV. Visitation will be two hours before the service. Armstrong Funeral Home is serving the family.
