James Edward Beckner

James Edward Beckner, 81, of Pettry Bottom, WV died Sunday, June 11, 2023 at his home after a long illness. He was born July 25, 1941 at Beckley, WV a son of the late Edward L. and Mamie Pettry Beckner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by family, Annie Boyd ”Harry”, Robert and Rena Beckner, Dee Massey, great nephew, Patrick, a niece, Sissy. He enjoyed fishing, and gathering pop blottles, and watching wresting on tv. Those left to cherish two sibling, Faye Massey of Gassaway, WV and Tommy and wife, Sandy Beckner of Naoma, WV; nephews, Timothy, Edward “Carol”, David, Dennis, Jerry Massey, a niece, Donna Beckner; great niece, Heather Massey; nephew, Bo and Bessie Webb, great nephew, Edward Beckner Jr., Tyler Beckner; great niece, Brittany Price. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon June 16, 2023 at one o’clock in the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV; Clergy Rev. Edward Beckner; Stewart Family Singing; Interment will follow in the Burl Pettry Family Cemetery, Cooper Ct. Subdivision, Naoma, WV; visitation will be the family at 11:00 and public at 12:00.
