James Robert “Bob” Brown, 79, of Dorothy, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV.  He was born October 9, 1942 at Carbon Fuel, WV a son of the late James R. Brown Sr. and Adelene Lawrence Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Warner and Marcella Blake; grandson, Noah Brown. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Wingo Brown; a daughter, Deborah Lowe and husband, Craig; two sons, Robert Brown and wife, Connie and Ricky Brown and wife, Barbara; sisters, Patricia Browning, Shirley Brown, and Barbara Garner; grandchildren, Thomas, Savannah, Holly, Ricky, Derrick, Erica, Chris, Kelsey, Jordan, Mallory, Eli; great grandchildren, Noah, Brooklyn, Kaylyn, Payden, Mason, Caleb, Madison, Easton,  Hayden, TJ, Parker, Wyatt, Wade, Kinley, Spencer, Weston, Rylan, Emma, Jackson; two special girls in his life, Kayla and Cara Brooke. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, January 6, 2022 at two o’clock in the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV with Pastor Robert Brown and Singing by The Stewart Family. Visitation will be two hours before the service. Burial will follow in the Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV.
