James “Frankie” Cantley 55, of Naoma Wv passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday January 28th 2023. Frankie was born October 3rd 1967 to Albert “Jr” Cantley and Linda Sue Clay. Frankie worked many years as a coal miner to provide for his family before eventually becoming too sick to continue working. Frankie was one of the most generous people you could ever meet he’d do anything for anyone including providing shelter to family and friends who needed it or just simply providing a hot cooked meal to anyone who stopped by. Before getting sick Frankie enjoyed planting gardens, watching football, and being outside. Unfortunately, he was sick for many years which led to him not being able to do most of the things he enjoyed in life. One thing Frankie enjoyed the most was spending time with his grand babies. Frankie was proceeded in death by his infant son, Mark Anthony Cantley; father, Albert “Jr” Cantley; his mother, Linda Sue Clay; brother, Kenneth Cantley; sister, Laurie Cantley, and stepbrother, Leon Burgess. He is survived by his wife, Chera “Sherry” Cantley; children, James “Tator” Cantley; daughter, Stella Cantley; granddaughter, Izzabella “Izzy” Thornsbury; granddaughter, Ellie Dillard; grandson, Carson Dillard; sisters, Susan Burdette, Janet Pritchard, Dee Hager, brother; Arthur Cantley; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Frankie's request was for cremation only.
