James Dal Cook, 91, of Glen Daniel, went home to be with the Lord on September 14,2021. He was the loving husband of the late Bessie Cook for 63 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers. Denver, Harley, and David Cook, and two sisters Sylvia Cook and Phyllis Bonds. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Rosemary Miciotto of Beckley; James Jr. And Barbie Cook of Naoma; Daryl and Jackie Cook of Glen Daniel; Carol and Ben Dulin of Glen Daniel; and Charlotte and Joe Turner of Glen Daniel. Also, eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dal was a retired coal miner and enjoyed being outdoors, but the defining moment of his life was when he accepted Jesus as his Savior at the age of 54. He loved attending revivals and was a member of Dameron Church. He never failed to witness and share his testimony at any given moment. His desire was to leave behind his testimony and see his family in heaven. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17 at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Whitesville WV at 1pm. Pastor Dean Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Adkins Cemetery Naoma, WV. The visitation will be one hour before the service. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Robert Peters ,Jeff Peters, Wesley Peters, Darin Cook, JC Cook, Thomas Dulin and Joey Turner. The family has requested that Covid protocols be followed.
