Janet R. Howard

 Janet R. Howard 90 from Beckley, WV went to be with the Lord Friday, January 22, 2021 at Stonerise Rehab Nursing Home (Beckley). She was born on December 30, 1930 to the parents of Albert and Harriett (Brown) Ferrell. Other than her parents she is proceeded in death by a brother Albert Ferrell Jr. and her husband of 59 yrs. Charles Howard Sr. She is survived by her loving and devoted son Charles Howard Jr. and his wife Janie (Pettry) Howard. 3 granddaughters, Angel (Danny) Davis, Tricia (James) Williams and Kara Howard and a grandson Justin Howard (Kayleen) 6 great grandchildren, Hunter and Fisher Williams, Kayla Shrewsbury, Brody and Danni Grace Davis and Peyton Howard. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Joann Karantonis and Shelby Robbins.  2 brothers Gordon and Jimmy (Mary) Ferrell. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and many friends. Janet was a member of Dorothy Assemblies of God Church. After marrying Charles, she lived in Lynn, Massachusetts for 42 yrs. before returning back home to Dorothy, WV.in 1996. Her hobbies were shopping and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Stonerise for giving her loving care. Many of them called her " maw maw" and she loved them all. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Armstrong Funeral home in Whitesville, WV at 1pm. Janet's brother Chaplain Jimmy Ferrell will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Pineview Cemetery Orgas, WV. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
