Janet F Vealey

Janet F. Vealey, 74, of Naoma, WV received her angel wings and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 21, 2023. She was born September 20, 1948 at Naoma. Janet was a daughter of the late Jim and Della Dickens. In addition to her parents. She was preceded in death by grandchildren, Samuel Allen Slocum, great granddaughter, Maci Grace Proper, great grandson, Kaiden Skyer Vealey. She loved to quilt, going on girl’s Tennessee trips, going to Arnett Chapel Church and loved her dog Buddy. Janet retired from the Dollar General with over 35 years of service. Those left to cherish her memory include the love of her life, Clinton Vealey; daughters, Melissa Lynn “Allen” Slocum of Ellenboro, WV, Charlie Cook “Late Chuck” of Claremont, NC; sons, Richard Vealey of Naoma, Nathan Vealey of Maiden, NC, Jeff “Susan” Vealey of Valdese NC. Grandchildren, Meagan MacLeod, Ashley Proper, Daniel Slocum, Nathaniel Vealey, Kayla Vealey, Natalie Vealey; Great Grandchildren, Case and Hayden, Olivia and Oliver, Autumn and Avery; Brothers and Sisters, Bud “Darlene” Dickens of Edwight, WV, Joanne “Steve” Kalberg of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Johnny “Ann” Dickens of Edwight, WV, Toney “Crystal” of Edwight, WV, Tweety “Ronnie” Bruno of Naoma, WV; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sat. Feb. 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Arnett Chapel Arnett, WV with Pastor Larry Kinder officiating.
