Joe Arnold Bailey Jr. passed away September 24,2020 In the Beckley Application Hospital after a short illness age 79. Born June 21,1941 in Pineknob WV. Lived in Naoma WV. (Peach Tree/Drew’s Creek) he was proceeded in death by his father and mother Joe and Flossie Bailey , a brother Denver Bailey , and a son Leslie (Bub) Bailey. Those left behind to love, cherish, and honor him is his beloved wife Mary (Cassie) Bailey of 54 yrs. being married ,a daughter Melissa (Lisa) Bailey and Companion Tommy Bailey All of Naoma WV; two brothers, Arvis Bailey and wife, Gladys of Naoma, WV and Arthur Bailey; a sister, Alva Pettry and husband, Elbert of Naoma, WV; he had 3 very close grandsons Joey Gunnoe, Tater Gunnoe and Deric Green all of Naoma WV. A granddaughter Dixie Burnette of North Carolina. Joe was always there for those grandchildren no matter what he made a way for them when needed. He had 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He spent most of his life working and providing for his family he has worked in timber , and saw mills but retired from Peabody Coal as an electrician of 22 + yrs. Most will remember him as outgoing telling jokes and drinking a beer. Some will remember him as being so generous, but his family will remember him as the loving, caring, understanding, never let you down kind of husband and father he was . He would always be there to help anyone if he could . Joe knew a lot of people and had a lot of friends but there’s one friend that we the family would like to say thank you to Steve Harrison he thought so much of you . You wasn’t just part of the family you was a close an dear friend of his . He had another close friend his buddy Tommy Bailey he looked at you as a second son you stood by him and him by you through a lot down through the years . This is a road that we all must face and take alone but really he wasn’t by himself the Angeles were there to help guide him home . You’re fight is over all the suffering and pain this place here on earth it will never be the same and this much we know is true you lived a long good life but when you left us a part of our heart went with you . While you were standing in line waiting to be called I was sitting by your side watching it all . Gone but never forgotten Joe will be sadly missed by many and forever in our hearts. Also would like to thank each and everyone that  has stopped an said a prayer for him . His body will go the mausoleum at Sunset Memorial there will be no services upon his request.
