John Dale Fulk, 85 years old of Tranquil Court, Naoma, WV passed away April 24, 2023 at Bowers Hospice House. John was born on October 13, 1937 at Brushy Run, Pendleton County, WV. He was the son of the late Cecil Fulk and Vivetta (Wratchford) Fulk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Sue Fulk, Sisters Yvonne Kerns, Helen “Lou” Simmons, Nancy Sue Armstrong, Doris Pettry and Brothers Kenneth Fulk and Roy Fulk. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and soulmate of 61 years Billie. Sons, Johnny Fulk & Timmy Fulk of Naoma WV. Daughters: Judy Perdue of Mt. Hope, WV, Brenda Woodward (Rick) of Louisiana, Victoria Pettry (Aaron) of Virginia, and Tina Pettry (Billy) of Ohio. Grandchildren: Justin Perdue, Samantha Burnside, Holly Pettry (Miller), Chelsea Pettry (Donald), Kaleb Pettry, Chase Pettry, Michayla Fulk, and Caitlin Fulk. Great Grandchildren: Braden Perdue, Aeyriana Workman and Daemon Kain Ward. Sisters: Norma Simmons of Ohio, Pamela Buckland of Glen Daniel, WV, Wanda Browning (Jackie) of Rock Creek, WV and Debbie Webb (Rick) of Myrtle Beach, SC. John loved the outdoors and loved to camp in the mountains, dig ginseng and ramps, raise gardens, and loved canning his own food. In his early years, John drove a log truck for Hamer Lumber Company and was known as Big John. He was a member of the UMWA, a roof bolter at Robin Hood Mine # 9 working for Peabody Coal Company until his retirement. John lived a blessed life of hard work, integrity and honesty. Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon May 1, 2023 at two o’clock in the Adkins Cemetery, Naoma, WV with Rev. Danny Gilfilen officiating.
