John Allen Price

John Allen Price of Whitesville WV passed away peacefully Thursday, April 11th, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. John was born October 21st, 1954, in Charleston, WV to the late Ida Moore of Whitesville WV.  He was an avid basketball player with many accolades. He was selected as a walk on for the Thundering Herd basketball team and most recently inducted into Sherman High Schools Hall of Fame.  He was very athletic and could play any and all sports, but basketball was his favorite. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  His family and cat Sadie were his world. John was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Moore of Whitesville, WV, Aunt, Phyliss Honaker of Ameagle, WV, Uncle, Donald Moore of Whitesville, WV, Daughter, Tesa Price of Whitesville, WV, and Son, Jeremy Peters of Whitesville, WV, and Grand Daughter Genna Rayne Peaytt of Naoma, WV. John was survived by his loving wife, Anita Price of 20 years. His daughter Brandy Price (Justin Collins) of Huntington, WV, Daughter, Audrey and Mark Blackburn of Ripley, WV. Bonus Children, Misty and Jake Honaker of Arnett, WV, Jennifer and David Peaytt of Naoma, WV, Jamie and Sara Meadows of Parkersburg, WV.  Grandkids: Joshua Holstein, Latasha Steele, Lydia and Jaydon Pettry, Cayson Collins, Kaylei and Dalton Blackburn, Hunter Peaytt, Wolfgang and Danelle Honaker, Cloe, Kaleb, Reagan, Riley, Tucker, and Tansy Meadows.  Any many Great Grand Children. Memorial Services will be held Saturday April 20th, 2024 at 1:00pm at Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV.
