Johnie Ray Gallimore Obituary

Johnie Ray Gallimore 83, of Naoma, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in the Thomas Hospital, South Charleston, WV. Johnie was born August 9, 1941, in Birchton, WV a son of the late Ernest and Inez Gallimore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clement Gallimore. He was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA. Johnie was a United States Veteran having served in the Navy. Johnie enjoyed singing Gospel music in different churches. He was a big fan of WV football and basketball. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Ruth Crowder Gallimore; two sisters, Frances Cox, Patricia Arehart; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon April 25, 2025, at eleven o’clock In the Armstrong Funeral Home Whitesville, WV with Pastor Benny Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Park Dunbar, WV with Military graveside rites. Visitation will begin one hour before the service.
