Johnny Ray (Johnny Ringo) Russell

Johnny Ray Russell (AKA Johnny Ringo), age 67, passed away at home on Thursday, January 16, 2025.  Johnny was born July 25, 1957 at Beckley, Raleigh County to the late John Howard and Maxine Elizabeth Fox Russell.  He was one of five children who grew up in Stickney, Raleigh County. Johnny was a retired coal miner, insurance salesman, and car salesman. He was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his children Jamie, Johnny Jr., Justin, Angela, and Brooke.  He is also survived by his four siblings Roger Russell (Pauline), Donnie Russell (Karen), Sandra Farley (Wendel), and Shelia Bailey (Kent). He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Service will be at Rock Creek Community Church on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm.  Friends may call from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.  The church is located on Rock Creek Road two miles from WV Route 3 in Rock Creek, Raleigh County.
