Lonita M Hudson

Lonita M. Hudson, age 93 of Beckley, WV, passed away August 2 at 4:25 PM at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born in Uneeda, WV, on March 29, 1931, the second of four children to the late Lonnie D. Miller and Blanche Davis Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey; son, Gary, and two brothers, Darrell Miller, and Odean Miller. She is survived by her sister, Uva Mae Salter, of Beckley, WV; sons, Terry (Patricia) of Flat Top, WV, and Daryl (Laura) of Aldie, VA. Grandchildren: Steven Hudson of Fairmont, WV, Sheena Bostic (Bradley) of Beckley, WV, John Hudson and Kathryn Hudson of Aldie, VA. Great-grandchildren: Kiley Bostic and Kooper Bostic. Mrs. Hudson was a retired Boone County school teacher and a faithful member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. At her request, arrangements were made with Armstrong Funeral Home in Whitesville, WV. Private graveside services will be held at Pineview Cemetery in Orgas, WV. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia or Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Beckley, WV.
