Lora Jane Bartrum, 76, of Dry Creek went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 2nd at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. She was born in Sundial, WV on June 25th, 1945. Lora Jane retired from the Raleigh County Board of Education after 31 years of service as a cook. She will be long remembered for her affectionate personality, warm smile, and contagious laugh. She was the daughter of the late Charley and Opha Brown. Additionally she was preceded in death by her brothers Charles and Bobby Brown and sisters, Orphie Milam, Louella Jones, and Verna Mae Casino. Lora Jane is survived by her husband Larry Bartrum of 58 years, her daughters Debbie Massey and Sirena Hannah and husband Mike Hannah. Her sister-in-law Norma Jean Gyovai. Grandchildren; Matthew Massey, Holly Cook, and Katelyn Hannah. Great grandchildren; Taylor Massey, Trever Cook, Tyler Cook, Tara Massey, Taylan Cantley, Taya Cantley, Tia Cantley, and Tessa Cantley. Lora Jane is also survived by her many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Lora Jane will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. There will be a graveside service Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 1:00pm at Miller Cemetery accompanied by family and close friends with Pastor Danny Pettry officiating.
