Louise Maxine Ferrell

Louise Maxine Ferrell, 96, of Orgas, WV passed away peacefully with family by her side, September 21, 2021.  She was born March 31, 1925 to the late Edward and Gertie Thompson Hager.  She was preceded in death by husband, Harold N. Ferrell, brother James Hager; sisters Frances Hager, Evie Hager, Myrtle Lewis, Alberta Hayes, and Geneva Kinley. Louise was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and crafts.  She won awards at the West Virginia State Fair for her beautiful quilts.  She had a beautiful smile. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Orgas, WV. Louise is survived by daughters, Betty Burdette of Moulton, Alabama; son, Carlos Ferrell of Orgas, WV; daughter, Wanda Bowen of Granite Falls, North Carolina; daughter, Sherry Cox (Steve) of Comfort, WV; and brother, Kelly (Birddog) Hager of Comfort.  Louise leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great  grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Sunday afternoon, September 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pineview Cemetery- Orgas, WV with Reverend Larry Kinder officiating.  Burial will follow the service.  Armstrong Funeral Home is serving the family. **** Pallbearers will be:  Aaron Webb, grandson; Michael Webb, grandson; Christopher Cox, grandson; Grayson Cox, grandson; Carson Webb, great-grandson; Carson Cox great-grandson.
