Marlena Dell (Stover) Halstead, 58, of Beckley, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born the daughter of Marilyn (Landon) Stover of Dorothy, WV, and the late Elden Baker Stover, Sr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Halstead.  Those left to cherish her memory include: sister, Lavetta Thomasson (Mark); brothers, Elden “Bub” Stover, Jr. (Jerrilyn) and Robert Stover (Ann); sons, Kristafer Adkins, (Amanda and Andrew), Robert “Ashley” Adkins, (Brandy and Lyric), and Thomas “Ryan” Adkins (Candiace); and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer a special thank you to everyone that helped care for Marlena throughout her battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Bowers Hospice House or Locks of Love. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at two o’clock at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV, with Rev. Jerry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Estep Cemetery, Ameagle, WV. Visitation will be two hours before the service at the funeral home.
