Mary Frances (Elliott) Cantley

Mary Frances Elliott Cantley, 76, of Whitesville, WV was carried to her Heavenly home on Angels wings, Monday, April 21st,2025 after a very courageous battle with an ongoing illness. Mary was born to Earl William Elliott and Frances Leigh O'Neal Elliott on August 26th, 1948. She was preceded in death by; Paternal grandparents Joe and Ina Elliott, Maternal grandparents Rena Creasey O'Neal and James Arthur O'Neal, a twin sister at birth (unnamed), three brothers Lloyd Joseph Elliott, Eddie Dean Elliott and William Earl Elliott as well as a sister Ruth Ann Elliott Lucas. She is survived by her brother Arthur Richard Elliott of Norfolk, Virginia. Former husband Dennis Edward Cantley of Rock Creek, WV and their children: Cynthia LeighAnn Elliott of Charleston WV, Tina Denise Cantley Adkins Bradford of Rock Creek, WV, Tammy Marie Cantley of Peach Tree, WV, Mae Lynn Cantley Cooper Tompkins (Curtis Wayne Franklin) of Fairdale, WV, Dennis Wayne Cantley of Powell Tennessee and Brandon Lee Cantley of Moundsville, WV. Mary leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 22.75 Great Grandchildren to honor and treasure her memory and continue her story by carrying on her legacy: Richard Dean Cantley (Melinda) of Lester, WV and children Waylon Cash and Fallyn Nathaniel Lee Adkins of Saxon, WV and son Oliver Robert Stephen Martin-Adkins, Breanna Maye McKinney (Brian) of Holly Hills, WV and children, Gaven, Ashton, Lyla and Brian, Allyson Nichole Toney (Austin) of Hurricane, WV and children Kaynon, Amaya and Kennedy, Michael Allen Adkins of Whitesville, WV. Travis Lee Cantley (Brandi) of Dry Creek, WV and children Taylen, Taya and Tia Cantley and Dalton and Wyatt Marcum. Hunter James Bonds (Lee) of Peach Tree WV Tera Lynn Cooper (Chris) of Poca, WV and children Paityn Ferrell and Luna Kingery Nicholas Andrew Tompkins of North Carolina. Tyler Ray Tompkins of Virginia (Mamaws number one first and foremost above all else). Mykayla Dawn Williams (Dakota) of Coal City and children Brayden and Mia and baby girl Addison Rayne on the way Tierra Marie Davis (James) of Rock Creek WV and children Kaylee and Waylon Kirra Rene Tuck (Fred) of West Virginia and son Phoenix Skyler Rayne Franklin of Fairdale, WV  Renee' Faith Cantley of Powell Tennessee Delila Lynn Cantley of Powell Tennessee Sierra Dawn Cantley of Ohio Cheyenne Rose Cantley of Arnett, WV Brandon Lee Cantley II Chase Anthony Cantley Jacob Edward Cantley Mary had a very special place reserved in her humble heart where she held so many people that touched her life with love, kindness, consideration and compassion, including but not limited to James Leonard Bonds, Lacy Dean Lucas and daughters Deanna, Sarah and Jessica and their family, Curtis Wayne Franklin, Jeffrey D. Massey, James Edward Davis and Joel and Charlotte Stephens. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon May 3, 2025, at 2:00 o’clock in the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV with Rev. Danny Gilfilen officiating; Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will follow in the Don Jarrell Cemetery, Dry Creek, WV
