Mary Elizabeth (Cook) Daniel

Mary Elizabeth Cook Daniel, 74, passed away Monday July 01, 2024 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born May 12, 1950 to the late Daryl Edgar Cook and Beula Nan Cook. She was a homemaker and a member of Cove Creek Community Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Lee Daniel, three sisters Gene Combs, Sarah Laferty and Rebecca Cox, and four brothers Dale Cook, Jack Cook, Charles Cook and William Cook. Survivors include three daughters, Angela Brown and husband John. Christina Vargar and husband Juan. Elizabeth Ann Diaz and husband Martin. Three brothers Phillip Cook, James Cook and Daryl “Jr” Cook. Five sisters Lexta Davis, Detria Cox, Doris Combs, Linda Daniel and Minnie Lemon. Eleven grandchildren Franklin Underwood, Katelynn Underwood (Hunter), Anastasia Shuford and husband Marquis, Amanda Daniel, Dylan Daniel, Sara Diaz, Jacob Diaz, Luis Diaz, Lilly Carrillo, Emily Mckinney and Ashley Everschort. Thirteen great grandchildren Kaylee, Ania, Kingston, Nora, Morgan, Sydney, Anya, Mila, Isah, Marquis, Kalianna, Kara and Theodore. Funeral serves will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 2 o'clock p.m. in the Cove Creek Community Church 451 Cove Creek, Saxon, WV with Rev. Andrew Davis and Rev. James Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Daniel Family Cemetery Cove Creek, WV. The visitation will be 2 hours before the service at the church. Armstrong Funeral Home in West Virginia will be handling the services. Chapman Funeral Home is serving the Daniel family.
