Mary Odessa “Lou” Farris (71) of Naoma, WV ascended to her Heavenly home on Friday, June 17, 2022. Lou was born February 20, 1951 to the late Holmes “Buster” and Mary Davis of Artie, WV. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jacob Farris and a daughter, Cathy Farris. Also, four brothers, Clinton, Clarence, David and Daniel three sisters, Juanita, Dorothy “Faye” and Brenda. She is survived by six children: Barbara (Mike) York, Ronald (Peggy) Farris, Lisa (Kevin) McNeish, Matt (Crystal) Farris, James Farris and Brenda (Kelly) York. Lou and Jake had 14 grandchildren who loved and will forever miss her: Lacy, Kayla, Jeremy, Josh, Christopher, Jacob, Jessica, Kevin, Taylor, James, Kyle, Tristan, Blake and Cathy. These 14 grandchildren gave her 11 beautiful great grandchildren to wear as jewels around her heart: Colten, Weston, Mia, Natalie, Emma, William, Brandon, Bella, Henry, Carrie, Addilynn and one on the way. She is also survived by two brothers, John and Holmes Davis and two sisters, Betty Mullins and Peggy Holdren. Lou was an extraordinarily special woman. All these children, the ready-made and the homemade, loved her and will forever love her. She leaves behind all these broken hearts as well as the hearts of too many nieces and nephews to count. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 2:00 in the Armstrong Funeral Home in Whitesville, WV with Rev. Benny Turner officiating.
