Mary (Cassie) Kathleen (Pettry) Bailey

Mary Kathleen Pettry Bailey (Cassie) of Naoma, WV passed away Wednesday September 01,2021 at the Beckley Application Hospital after a long illness born December 17,1944 in Pineknob WV. She was the daughter of the late Grady and Brady Pettry. Other than her parents Cassie was proceeded in death by her husband Joe Arnold Bailey a son Leslie Joe Bailey (Bub) a grandson Joey Ray Gunnoe 3 sisters Phyllis Miller, Polly Dickens and Emogene Bays. 6 brothers Ross Pettry, Kenny Pettry, Albert Pettry, Charley Pettry, Coy Pettry and Alvi Pettry. Cassie is survived by her daughter Melissa (Lisa) and husband Tommy Bailey, a sister Lucy Cantley. 3 grandchildren Tater Gunnoe, Deric Green and Dixie Burnette.5 great grandchildren Kadence Gunnoe, Hayzn Gunnoe, Braylon and Braxton Gunnoe, Little Deric Green, Zoey and Keeley Gunnoe. Several nieces and nephews. Cassie was a homemaker always loved spending time with family and friends. She will be loved and missed by many. Services will be Thursday September 9,2021 at the Bailey Cemetery in Naoma, WV on Drew’s Creek rd. Pallbearers are Tater Gunnoe, Deric Green, Colton Harris, Jake Webb, Jimmy Naylor and Billy Naylor. The family would like to thank each and everyone that helped, donated, stopped in and gave a kind word. A special thanks to the grave diggers Tommy Bailey, Jimmy Naylor and Billy Naylor. Also, a special thank you to Madison Cole for all her help and support. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. in the Bailey Cemetery Naoma, WV with Rev. Danny Gilfilen officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery. Armstrong Funeral Home is serving the family.
