Michael Leigh Cunningham

Michael Leigh Cunningham, 64 of Beckley, WV passed away, Monday June 13, 2022 at the Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV after a long illness. He was born Oct. 15, 1957 at Kanawha City, WV a son of the late Robert and Patsy Light Cunningham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by is in-laws, Georgia and Spimp Dickens. Michael was a retired coalminer and member of the UMWA and a US Army veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sandra Dickens Cunningham; a daughter, Hollie and son-in-law, David Acord; son, Matthew Workman and daughter-in-law, Jolene Workman, grandsons, Blake Workman, Dillon Workman, granddaughter, Mattie Workman, grandson, Austin Williams and companion, Haley Bowman, Danny and Joyce Thompson, Steve and Wanda Beller, Barbara Hodges, Rejean and Carolina Boulet, Willis Dickens and companion, Alyssa Romeo, Hershel and Kay Thomas and his special dog, Benny. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday afternoon, June 21, 2022 at two o’clock in the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV with Rev. Jerry Tyree officiating and Stewart Family Singing.
