Pamela (Kouns) Daniels

Pamela Kouns Daniels passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2024, at CAMC Memorial after a long illness surrounded by her family.  Born on July 31st, 1946, in Hitchins, KY to the late Clayton and Iona Broom Kouns.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Belva Kiser, Wilma Workman, brothers Charles Kouns, Boyd Kouns, JR Kouns, and Lewis Kouns.  Pam is survived by her husband of 57 years, Grover Daniels of Whitesville, WV, son Steve (Frances) Daniels of Mocksville, NC, son John Daniels of Whitesville, WV, brother JP (Nancy) Kouns of Creston, OH, sister-in-law Josephine (Clayton) Bolen of Beaver, WV, and special friend Carlene Nunley of Whitesville, WV.  She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and extraordinarily close friends whom she loved. Pam loved animals, taking rides with Carlene, and faithfully attending church services at Sylvester Baptist Church.  She loved watching her crime shows, playing bingo, and hidden object games on her computer.  Pam was proud to support her sons’ school activities by faithfully organizing and working events such as fund raisers, hot dog sales and working the concession stand, which helped the school raise needed funds.  She enjoyed meeting new people and made many friends at the various jobs she held in Whitesville.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff of the MICU at CAMC Memorial for their kindness and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sylvester Baptist Church Sylvester, WV with Pastor Gary Daniels officiating and the church choir singing. Interment will follow in the Pineview Cemetery Orgas, WV. The visitation will be 2 hours before the service at the church. Armstrong Funeral Home is serving the family.
