Paul "Pete" Gunnoe

Paul (Pete) Gunnoe, 75, of Drews Creek, West Virginia went home to be with the Lord on December 21st, 2024. He was born July 19th, 1949, in Rock Creek, WV, a son of the late Emmer Wills Gunnoe and Paul Gunnoe. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Bobbie Ann Gunnoe; and brother, David Gunnoe. He is survived by his brother Willis Ray Gunnoe of Drews Creek, WV; Sister Kathy Morris (spouse Ray Morris) and daughter Kelly Morris; son, Brian Paul Gunnoe (companion Breanna Massey) and their children Vanessa Gunnoe and Jaycee Massey of Beckley, WV; a daughter, Michelle Lynn Beller of Drews Creek, WV and her children Cienna Eller (Spouse Jacob Eller) of Glen Daniel, WV; Tanner Beller of Drews Creek, WV; and Ashlynn Beller of Drews Creek, WV; as well as his great grand babies, Oaklynn and Nathan Eller. Pete was a hard-working family man who served in the United States Army (stationed in Korea), and providing for his family as a Coal Miner for 19 years. After retirement Pete enjoyed spending his time playing cards with friends, riding four wheelers, spending time in the mountains, taking walks with his best pal Black Jack, berry picking with his grandkids, and enjoying the company of his family, friends, and neighbors. He also enjoyed the holidays, especially Thanksgiving, where he hosted an annual family football game every year with his family. Pete was the kind of man that would give the shirt off of his back to help someone else in need any way he could. He never met a stranger. He will be forever remembered and loved by all who had the honor of knowing the amazing man he was. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Saturday, December 28th, 2024 at Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV, with Rev. Danny Gilfilen officiating and Benny and Debbie Turner singing. Family will receive friends for visitation from 1 pm - 2 pm, 1 hour before the service begins.
