Regina "Penny" (Treadway) Withrow

Regina “Penny” Treadway Withrow, 72, of Colcord, WV, went home to join the rest of her family in glory on November 2, 2024. Born December 11, 1951, in Clear Creek, WV she was the daughter of the late Charles “Scotty” and Eva “Violet” Treadway. She is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Charles Everett Withrow, who has been awaiting his “Gina” for almost 6 years. Parents, Scotty and Violet Treadway, sisters; Katherine Treadway, and Anita Treadway Scarbro, brother; William “Bill” Treadway, brother-in-law; Eddie Mitchell Withrow, a host of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Penny was a loving, caring, and unconditional person. She was well known for her wonderful cooking and baking skills. Through the years she has made hundreds of wedding cakes for young couples. Known as “Granny” to many, she would treat all those her family brought to her the same. Penny was employed by JC Penney for many years. After leaving Penney’s, you could find her working somewhere with a kitchen. It’s been said she would always greet you with a smile, and always expressed her love for Christ. Her heart’s desire was for all to come to know Him. Granny was the staple of this family and will be missed dearly. “I’m gonna leave here shouting!” Gran is survived by Sons; Charles “Matt” Withrow of Crab Orchard, and Mark “Joey” Withrow (Tammy) of Colcord, Daughter; Wendy (Leroy) Riley of Colcord, Grandchildren; Coty (Brittany), Anna, Jacob, Parker, Gracie, and Landyn, Great-Grandson; Levi Hayslip, also, Tiffanie (Ben), Madison, Tamara (Wally), and Izzy, Brother-in-Laws; Roy “Pete” Withrow (Doris) of Columbus, OH, and Emmett Withrow (Myrtle) of Colcord, WV, Sister-in-Laws; Etta Mae Cooper of Colcord, WV, and Ann Withrow of Lula, GA, and a host of Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 8th, 2024, at eleven o’clock in the First Presbyterian Church of Colcord, 255 Home School Village Colcord, WV 25048, with Rev. Gary Maynor and Rev. Jacob Riley officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-9 at the church. Armstrong Funeral Home in Whitesville is serving the family.
