Roger Glen Clay, 72 of Pettry Bottom, Naoma, WV went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 23, 2024 at his home with his family. He was born June 25, 1951 at Edwight, WV a son of the late Freeman and Opal Pettry Clay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by seven sisters and six brothers. He was a retired coal miner with 17 years of service and member of the UMWA. Roger loved Jesus, going fishing, attending car shows with his A Model and loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Flora Pettry Clay; three sons, Randy Ferrell Clay, Wesley Clay, and Roger Lee Clay. Roger loved his 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 29, 2024 at two o’clock in the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV with Rev. Eugene Spurlock officiating. Visitation will begin for family at 11:00 and public from 12:00-2:00pm. Roger never met a stranger.
