Ruth Ann Lucas

Ruth Ann Lucas, 72, born May 29, 1952, in Charleston, WV Ascended to her heavenly home on January 11, 2025 at the Bower’s Hospice House in Beckley, WV surrounded by her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her family: Dean Lucas of Arnett, daughter, Deana and Jody Belcher of Glen Daniel, daughter, Sarah and Jason Harper of Arnett, daughter, Jessica and Chris Dodson of Fairdale. Her sister, Mary Cantley of Whitesville and a brother, Richard Elliot of VA; grandchildren, include Teisha and Johnny of Grandview, Alyssa and Josh of Fairdale, Noah and Vivian of Arnett, Lucas Harper, Jackson Harper, Isaiah Dodson, Chloe Dodson; great grandchildren include Jaimen Pugh, Braylee Pugh, Zoey Pugh, Reagan Brown, Axl Lucas, and Laurel Lynn, as well as many other family members. Preceded in death by her father Earl Elliott and Mother, Francis Elliott of Danese, her brother, Eddie Elliott of VA, and her great granddaughter, Ryleigh Brown. Ruth always loved to laugh, she loved to cook, garden, drink coffee on her porch and spend time with family. Ruth loved the Lord and loved to sing and being a witness to others. She will be missed and is loved by many. Ruth’s celebration of life will be Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Eccles First Baptist Church with Pastor Garry Hall officiating; Visitation will begin one hour before the service. Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV is serving the family. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, WV. In lieu of flowers the family has requested you donate to Bower’s Hospice House in Beckley for the excellent care and compassion provided.
