Today Dec. 18, 2020 proud Army Veteran, beloved son, father, brother, uncle and husband, Samuel W. McGhee, 74, of Rock Creek, WV took his Heavenly flight. He is preceded in death by his mother, Stella Josephine Canterbury, his father, Raymond Carson Canterbury, a brother, Richard McGhee and his wife, Elaine Edwards McGhee. He is survived by his brothers, Randall Canterbury (Melody) and James Canterbury and three sisters: Patty Rakes, Norma Gunnoe (Danny) and Rita Davies. Also, he is survived by his children: Rachel Kerns (William), Matthew McGhee and Wesley McGhee and his three grandchildren: Jordan McGhee, Chloe McGhee and Tyler Green. When able he attended Lester First Church of God. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Scarbro Cemetery in Rock Creek, WV with Pastor Dale Birchfield officiating.
